When the temperature is high, we love cooling off in a natural body of water and warming back up on a sandy (or rocky) beach. Edmonton has some spectacular beaches to enjoy. Our favourites include Wolf Willow Beach, Skyline Beach, Summerside Beach, Cougar Island Beach, Laurel Lake, Accidental Beach and CottonTail Corner where you can enjoy the area in your swimsuit or your "birthday suit"!

Looking for an outdoor pool experience? These outdoor pools offer a great place to stay active, keep cool and soak up the sun in Edmonton this summer. We love Queen Elizabeth Outdoor Pool, Borden Natural Swimming Pool, Grosvenor Outdoor Pool, Fred Broadstock Swimming Pool, Oliver Outdoor Pool and Mill Creek Outdoor Pool. Don't forget to pack waterproof sunscreen!

Indoor Pools

If you prefer to take the plunge without the risk of a sunburn, there are countless great indoor swimming pools across Edmonton to visit. Our favourites include Terwillegar Community Reception Centre, Kinsmen Sports Centre Pool, Peter Hemingway Fitness and Leisure Centre, Eastglen Leisure Center, and Clareview Community Recreation Centre. Be sure to bring shampoo and soap so you can get all the chlorine off after your swim!
